José Carlos Barbieri

Master and doctorate of business administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas - SP (1992). He was professor at prestigious higher education institutions such as Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul and PUC São Paulo. As research scientist of Technological Research Institute of São Paulo State (IPT) he has developed activities in the areas of Information Systems, Industrial Property and Technology Transfer. He performed as member of several official commissions related to environmental management, social responsibility and PDI management. He attends scientific committees of various national and international scientific journals and congresses and funding agencies. Since 1992, he is associate professor of the Department of Production and Operations Management at FGV/EAESP. He was one of the founders of CEAMA (Center for Business Management and Environment Studies) and its coordinator until the closure of its activities in 2010. Member of Innovation Forum at FGV/EAESP, whose focus of study and research are innovative organization and sustainable innovation. He teaches at the postgraduate program stricto sensu of EAESP in the line of research in Sustainability and Operations Management. He conducted researches on Environmental Management and Innovation, attending as researcher and coordinator of several research projects on these subject areas. Leader of Research Group at CNPq. He mentored more than 50 theses and dissertations. He currently participates in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) committee that develops standards on innovation management. He participates in editorial committees of several scientific journals and organizational committees of national and international scientific congresses.He is author and co-author of books, book chapters and articles about sustainable development, environmental management and innovation management published in Brazil and in several countries.
