Reinaldo José Gianini

He holds a degree in Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1979), a Master's degree in Medicine (Preventive Medicine) from the University of São Paulo (1989) and a PhD in Medicine (Preventive Medicine) from the University of São Paulo (1995). He was a researcher at LIM39-HC/FMUSP - State Department of Health of São Paulo, a postgraduate professor at FMUSP, and is a Full Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. He has experience in research, teaching and extension in the area of #8203;#8203;Public Health, with an emphasis on Social Epidemiology, working mainly on the following topics: health policies, epidemiology, health systems, health equity. It presents 103 publications indexed in Google Scholar, with 2011 citations and index H=39. He has obtained funding from MS, CNPq and FAPESP for several research projects. He is leader of the Health Equity research group, created in 2002, one of the most productive groups at PUCSP. In 2010 he received the Dr. Citizen Award from the Associação Paulista de Medicina. Among his international relations, the fact that he is a reviewer for the Revista Panamericana de Saúde Pública and BMC Pediatrics stands out. Elected full member of CEPE-PUCSP in July 2015/18. Representative of research leaders on the FCMS board at PUC-SP 2017-19. NDE Vice President 2017-19. Member of CACOF 2017-19. Elected head of the collective health department at FCMS/PUCSP in 2019, and re-elected in 2021. Supervisor of the residency program in family and community medicine. EXCELLENT concept obtained in the CEPE-PUCSP continuous assessment for the 2018-19 and 2020-21 biennia.
