Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (Brasil). Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais (CNPEM)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Maringá (1995), a Master's degree in Sciences with an emphasis in Organic Chemistry from the University of Campinas (1998), and a PhD in Sciences in the field of Organic Chemistry from the University of Campinas (2002). During the PhD, carried out a research internship (2000-2001) at the Organic Physical Chemistry Laboratory of University College London (UCL) and at the GlaxoSmithKline Medicine Research Centre (Stevenage, Herts, UK), under the supervision of Dr. Michael H. Abraham, developing studies focused on modeling the physicochemical properties of bioactive molecules.Currently, she is a researcher at the Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio), part of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), where she works at the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Laboratory. Her scientific expertise spans the fields of Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, and Pharmacokinetics, with solid experience in advanced analytical techniques and methodologies applied to drug discovery and development. She coordinates and conducts research projects focused on the synthesis and characterization of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, with emphasis on quinazolines, pyridopyrimidines, pyrazolopyrimidines, and N-phenylbenzamides, investigating their structural properties and therapeutic potential. She also develops and applies NMR-based approaches for the structural elucidation of small molecules, metabolic profiling in biological samples, and characterization of protein-ligand interactions. She has extensive experience in the development and validation of analytical methods integrating Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry for metabolomics studies in a wide range of biological samples. This expertise encompasses metabolic profiling, biomarker identification, and pathway analysis across diverse biological contexts. Additionally, she actively develops and implements in vitro and in vivo ADME assays, including metabolic stability, permeability, plasma protein binding, and pharmacokinetic studies. She also has solid expertise in determining the physicochemical properties of new chemical entities, contributing to the comprehensive evaluation of the biopharmaceutical profile in the context of drug discovery and development.
