Biologist (1982) focused on Clinical Pathology, MSc and PhD in General Physiology (IBUSP, Brazil - 1987 and 1991). Joined Butantan Institute in 1987 as Scientific Researcher. Postdoctoral (1994-2000) University of Wales, UK, (Liverpool Institute of Tropical Medicine, University of Oxford cooperation) on Systematics, Evolution and Ecology of Latin American pitvipers, aiming at snakebite prophylaxis, epidemiology and antivenom therapy improvement (British Council). Senior Postdoctoral Fellow in Laboratory of Genetics and Biodiversity, Federal University of Goias, Brazil (PDS - CNPq, 2010-2013), SSR transferability to investigate diversity, kinship and reproductive mode in pit vipers, to improving captive breeding, snake venom production and antivenom manufacturing. Vast academic personal training experience (Internship Program Instituto Butantan & University of Oxford, UK, Higher Education and Post Graduation) Supervision of scientific production of 35 undergraduates and graduates. Continuing Education Training to teachers of public and private network school system in the state of São Paulo, Brazil (USP & PUCSP). Publication of 75 articles, 7 book chapters, revision and edition of 2 books, several scientific notes and texts in newspapers and magazines. Approval of more than twenty scientific proposals, projects and scholarships at Funding and Support Scientific Institutions. Interested in the control of preventable communicable diseases and communication in health, with fieldwork training on vector proliferation and control in urban areas besides wide laboratorial experience, joined the Clinical Safety and Risk Management Centre- Pharmcovigilance and Pharmacoepidemioloy at Butantan Institute in 2016, working on vaccine development, efficacy and safety studies (dengue phase II and III, pandemic avian influenza vaccine phase I, Active pharmacovigilance of influenza trivalent vaccine, Active pharmacovigilance of CoronaVac, Effectiveness of CoronaVac), as part of the FMUSP, Irmandade da Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo (ISCMSP), IAL, NIH, WHO, BARDA and IDRI partnerships.
