Laura Silveira Mmoriyama, MD, PhD is a British-Brazilian neurologist who graduated and trained in Neurology in Brazil, and worked at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology between 2004 and 2014, where she completed a PhD in Parkinsons Disease and extensive clinical training in adult and pediatric movement disorders. After returning to Brazil she was honoured with the naming of the "Laura Moriyama medal" which is given yearly for one student at the MSc in Clinical Neurology via Distance Learning at Queen Square. She is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Director for the Movement Disorders program at at University of Campinas (UNICAMP). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
