Faculty member of the Chemistry Faculty, member of the Ethics Comittee in Human Research, member of the Research Core Board and member of the Research Group in Environmental and Materials Chemistry. Has experience in the research areas of Biotechnology, Natural Products Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Applied Microbiology, currently studying the biosynthesis and applications of non-ribosomal peptides for medicine and environmental remediation. Develops research on the sustainable production of lipopeptides (biosurfactants) through the cultivation of Bacillus sp., the coproduction of digestive enzymes and biosurfactants and the in silico analysis of genes involved in the biosynthesis of non ribosomal peptides and polyketides produced by cyanobacteria and other microbes.
