graduate in Chemistry (DEUG SM, licence chimie, maitrise chimie) at the university of Rennes 1 (1998), master's in solid state chemistry at the University of Rennes I (1999), PhD in solid state chemistry - University of Rennes I (2003) and PhD in inorganic chemistry - University of the State of São Paulo (2003). Post-doctoral position at UNESP-Araraquara between 2003 and 2006 working with Profs Younes Messaddeq and Sidney J.L Ribeiro on glasses and glass-ceramics for optical applications. Professor of the Institute of Science and Technology at the federal University of Alfenas in the State of Minas Gerais (Brazil) since 2006. Supervisor in the masters programs of Chemistry (Campus of Alfenas) and Materials Science and Engineering (Campus of Poços de Caldas). Experience in the fields of inorganic chemistry, materials chemistry, working with: glasses and glass-ceramics, nucleation and growth mechanisms in glasses, sol-gel, thermal analysis, structural determinations (FTIR, Raman, NMR, XAS), optical properties of non-crystalline materials (non linear optics, rare earth spectroscopy, upconversion luminescence), nano-structured materials, optical fibers and photochromic materials. Published 45 scientific articles and acts scientific referee for Journal of non-Crystalline Solids, Materials Chemistry and Physics, Journal of Solid State Chemistry, Journal of the American Ceramic Society, Spectrochimica Acta, Journal of Molecular Structure, Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, Materials Research. Member of the scientific committe of Exact Sciences and Materials at the state agency FAPEMIG (Fundation for research financial support of the state of Minas Gerais) between 2013 and 2015.
