CNPq Productivity Fellow and Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), I specialize in the Systematics and Evolution of Coleoptera, with a focus on Phylogeny, Biogeography, and Faunistics. My research encompasses various megadiverse groups, including Scarabaeoidea, Elateroidea, Curculionoidea, Chrysomeloidea, Tenebrionoidea, and Buprestoidea.As an active advisor, I supervise undergraduate and graduate student projects, contributing to the training of new researchers. I am an Accredited Professor in the Graduate Programs in Zoology at the National Museum and in Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology at UFRJ, where I also served as Coordinator of the PPG Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology (Level 7) in 2020.In addition to research and teaching, I am a Coordinator and collaborator on FAPERJ and CNPq projects (Universal, Scientific Dissemination) and an Associate Editor for prestigious journals such as Zookeys, Revista Brasileira de Entomologia, and Biota Neotropica. I serve as an Ad Hoc consultant for several specialized national and international journals.I also coordinate the outreach project "Guias da Conservação" (Conservation Guides), which focuses on the study of neglected species and the conservation of protected areas.
