Birthplace: Brazil

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computational Physics from the University of São Paulo [São Carlos] (1990), a Master's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo [São Carlos] (1993), and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of São Paulo [São Carlos] (1997). He completed postdoctoral research at the University of São Paulo (1998 and 2014) and at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2000). He later earned a degree in Electrical Engineering (2015) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2022). He has experience in the fields of Computational Physics, Mathematical Physics, and Theoretical Atomic Physics, with an emphasis on Multi-Photon Interactions, focusing primarily on the following topics: variationally stable method, hyperspherical coordinates method, static and dynamic polarizabilities, photoionization and photodissociation, and van der Waals dispersion coefficients. He serves as a referee for journals such as Physical Review Letters, Journal of Physics B, Journal of Chemical Physics, Solar Energy, and BioMedical Engineering OnLine, among others. He collaborates with the Ophthalmic Instrumentation Laboratory (Certifica-LIO/EESC/USP) on computational modeling of solar UV radiation effects on the human eye and UV protection standards for sunglasses, particularly ISO 12312-1.
