Abstract
Recent neuroimaging findings suggest that the Orbitalfrontal Cortex (OFC) plays a key role in the neurobiological model of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Other cerebral areas such as thalamus, basal ganglia (especially the caudate nucleus and putamen), the anterior cingulate cortex, amygdala and cerebellum also contribute to trace the etiology of OCD.
