Marian Roman Catholic Apostolic Christian. Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Universidade do Oeste Paulista in 1999, he held a residency in Infectious Diseases of Animals at the Universidade Estadual Paulista, Botucatu campus between 2000 and 2002. Master in Science (Biology of the Pathogen-Host Relationship) from the Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas from the University of São Paulo in 2004 and PhD in Veterinary Medicine (Experimental Epidemiology Applied to Zoonoses) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the University of São Paulo in 2006. Postdoctoral internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2013 and 2014, where he developed studies on the characterization and laboratory diagnosis of ehrlichiosis in animals and humans. Between 2005 and 2008, he served as a Scientific Researcher at the Paulista Agency for Agribusiness Technology. He is currently Full Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Mato Grosso. Responsible for the Laboratory of Virology and Rickettsiosis at the Veterinary Hospital of UFMT. He is a master's and doctoral advisor of the Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences at UFMT. He currently participates as a research member of the Coordinating Research on Emerging Arboviral Threats Encompassing the Neotropics (CREATE-NEO) funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH-USA), the National Network for Virus Surveillance in Wild Animals (PREVIR) and the INCT-POX . He has experience in the area of Veterinary Medicine, with an emphasis on Preventive Veterinary Medicine, working mainly on Infectious Diseases of animals and diseases transmitted by arthropods.
