I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo (1994) and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of São Paulo (2000). I currently serve as an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics and Morphology at the University of Brasília (UnB).Throughout my career, I have developed expertise in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Morphology. My research focuses on the biology of human adult stem cellsincluding mesenchymal cells, neural cells, and those derived from central nervous system tumorsas well as the therapeutic potential of psychedelic agents. Additionally, I utilize in vitro models and animal models, such as zebrafish, rodents, and primates, to evaluate the potential of psychotropic drugs, thereby broadening experimental approaches in the search for new therapies.
