Educational background obtained at different Institutions, such as: Bachelor's degree in Animal Science at FZEA- College of Animal Science and Food Engineering, University of São Paulo (1993); Master in Animal and Range Sciences by ESALQ- Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo (1997); PhD in Genetics at FMRP- College of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (2001) and WIAS, Wageningen Institute of Animal Science, Wageningen, the Netherlands. National and international work experience at Embrapa-CNPMA Jaguariúna-SP BR, Embrapa-CPAC Brasilia-BR, ISU-IA Ames-USA, SDSU-SD Brookings-USA, WIAS- Wageningen-NL and UNIPA Palermo-IT, in teaching and research on genetics and genomics of domestic and wild animals. This allowed me to participate in research projects in diverse areas, such as, the Whole Genome Sequencing of the phytopathogen Xylella fastidiosa, Physical and Fine Mapping in chickens, Paternity Test in cattle and sheep, GWAS and GS on domestic animals, Bioprospection of molecules and organisms for agriculture, Gene Expression Analysis of the immune system of chickens and Control of Proliferation and Differentiation of turkey myogenic cells, besides Biodiversity Study, Conservation and Management of Turtle in the Xingu River with the Kamayurá indigenous ethnic group. I´m currently working at EMBRAPA Cerrados wit Animal Genome Analysis and Breeding and at EMBRAPA Environment with the integration of molecular techniques, such as DNA barcoding and Metagenomics, on Biomonitoring programs. Expertise in development and conduction of scientific projects, publication and review of scientific articles, lectures, training and mentoring of students, besides lab management. Ability to develop multidisciplinary projects through collaborations. International experience. Fluent in Portuguese and English, basic knowledge in Italian and Spanish. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
