Prof. Gustavo Fraidenraich holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1997), a master's and doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2002 and 2006, respectively). From 2006 to 2008, he undertook postdoctoral research at Stanford University, CA, USA. He received a young researcher grant from Fapesp from 2008 to 2009. Since July 2008, he has been a professor at the Department of Communications (DECOM) of FEEC/UNICAMP, where he currently holds the position of Full Professor. He was an editor for the ETT journal (European Transactions on Telecommunications) and is currently an associate editor for the Frontiers in Communications and Networks - Communications Theory journal. He also reviews numerous international journals. For over a decade, he has ranked among the top 15 undergraduate professors at FEEC. In 2019, his doctoral student's thesis was selected as the best at FEEC. He has authored over a hundred international articles in leading journals and conferences and is a CNPq level 1D productivity scholarship recipient. He is the current chairman of the technical committee for Venturus Innovation and Technology. His main research interests include wireless channel modeling, multiple antenna systems (MIMO), information theory, cooperative communication, radar systems, general wireless communication, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applied to engineering problems."
