She has dual Ph.D. degree from of the University of São Paulo - Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing in Brazil and the Catholic University of Portugal in Portugal. It was Postdoctoral fellow at Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO), Centre for Studies and Research on Family Health Intervention (CERIF) in Canada. She was a visiting research student at the UCP (04/2015-09/2015) and the Ernst Moritz Arndt Universität Greifswald (04/2015-09/2015) in Germany and received funding as scholarships from the Brazilian government throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies. She has been studing mainly on the following topics: pediatric nursing, chronic conditions, spirituality in health, child and adolescent health and family studies. She is a member of the Rho Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International - Honor Society of Nursing and is part of the research groups Nursing Care of Children and Adolescents, GPECCA-EERP / USP, Brazil.
