Holds a Bachelor of Physics degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Master and Doctorate in Space and Atmospheric Sciences from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) through research into solar energetic phenomena and instrumental development. Has experience in Astronomy, focusing on Solar Radioastronomy and instrumental development, acting on the following subjects: solar, radio, spectroscopy and interferometry. Participated in the development of the radiospectroscopes Millimetric Variable Frequency Radiometer (RMFV) and Brazilian Solar Spectroscope (BSS). He was the responsible for the BSS modernization. Currently, he is a INPE's researcher. Also, participates in the development of the Project Brazilian Decimetric Array (BDA). In parallel, he works in Space Weather with activities of monitoring solar energetic phenomena, as well as research/development of auxiliary tools for the forecasting of those phenomena, in collaboration with researchers from UFSCar and Unicamp.
