Tiago Franco de Oliveira

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences (2007), a Ph.D. in Toxicology and Toxicological Analyses (2012), and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Toxicology (2013-2017). Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA), working in the field of Analytical, Environmental, Forensic, and Social Toxicology. At UFCSPA, he served as Head of the Department of Pharmacosciences (2019-2022) and Deputy Coordinator of the Higher Technological Course in Analytical Toxicology (2019-2022). Currently, he is the Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Health Sciences (PPG-CSAU), a CAPES level 5 program, and leader of the UFCSPA Mass Spectrometry Research Group. He was a Board Member (2011-2019) and President of the Brazilian Society of Toxicology (SBTox) (2020-2022). Additionally, he chaired the XXI Brazilian Congress of Toxicology (Águas de Lindóia, 2019) and the XXIII Brazilian Congress of Toxicology (Rio de Janeiro, 2024). He is an active member of the Brazilian Society of Toxicology (since 2009), the Brazilian Society for Mass Spectrometry (since 2011), and The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT, since 2017). His research focuses on Mass Spectrometry applied to Toxicology, with numerous national and international collaborations, including partnerships with John Jay College of Criminal Justice (USA), Maastricht University (Netherlands), Universidad de la República (Uruguay), and The European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA, European Union).
