Lucas Nao Horiuchi

Researcher at HPPT High Performance Plastics Technology and TRL9 Lab working on research of nanocomposites. Material Engineer graduated at Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), with an emphasis on metallic materials (1997) Master degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2001) in development and processing of polymer blends. PhD student at Industrial Engineering Program of Univerisdade Federal da Bahia (PEI-UFBA) in sustainable development of biodegradable polymers. Mechanical Technician degree from the Technical College of Campinas/Unicamp. 20 years of experience in petrochemical plant, working as a product engineer (12 years) and as a pilot plant coordinator (8 years), in the Innovation and Technology area at Braskem in Camaçari, developing PVC resins and production processes. I'm currently assistant professor at Centro Universitário Senai Cimatec for engineering and postgraduate courses. Has experience as a professor at the University of Salvador (UNIFACS). Professional experience in the metrology area at IBM Brasil as a mechanical technician. Experience in a laboratory for research and characterization of Materials, Corrosion and Surfaces in Rhodia (Paulínia).
