Daniel Pasquini

He holds a chemistry graduation from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1998), a master's degree in sciences (physicochemical) (2000) and a PhD in sciences (physicochemical) (2004) from the University of São Paulo. He completed a PhD internship (2003) and post-doctorate (2005) at the École Française de Papeterie et des Industries Graphiques de Grenoble, France. He held the position of coordinator of the Research and Development Group in Paints in the Research and Development laboratory of AW Faber-Castell SA from 2004 to 2008. He was an Assistant Researcher at the University of Aveiro, CICECO - Center for Research in Ceramic and Composite Materials between 2008 and 2009. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Chemistry Institute of the Federal University of Uberlândia where he currently holds the position of coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Biofuels whose program is accredited as a permanent member, being able to guide at master's and doctoral level. He is also an accredited professor in the Post-graduate Program in Chemistry at UFU. It is currently developing projects related to the valorization of plant macromolecules, chemical modification of these macromolecules, development of new materials derived from renewable sources for applications such as polymer materials for various applications, such as composites, nanocomposites, nanofibers, spherical nanoparticles and membranes. He also works in projects related to the production chain of Bioethanol and Biodiesel. He held the positions of vice secretary of SBQ Minas Gerais, vice director and director of ABPol Minas Gerais. He was a member of the Advisory Board of Exact Sciences and Materials - CEX of FAPEMIG, where he also held the position of coordinator.
