Graduated in Chemistry from University of São Paulo (1972), M.C.E and DrEng in Civil Engineering from University of São Paulo (EPUSP), 1992 and 1998 respectively. Currently is a guest researcher at Civil Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School from University of São Paulo. She was a chemist researcher from Civil Engineering Division at Institute of Technological Research (IPT) for 23 years as well as coordinator of Paints for Building Construction Committee (CE-02: 115.29) for 15 years. She works in the area of Building Materials and Components, Sustainable Constructions, with emphases on the following themes: performance, service life prediction, weathering, durability, pathology, and environmental sustainability. Specialist in paints for building construction, studies in "cool roofs", water repellents, surface materials and self-cleaning surfaces (photo catalysis), cool pigments, nanoparticles, whitewash.
