Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1990), Master's degree in Drugs and Medicines from the University of São Paulo (1993), PhD in Drugs and Medicines from the University of São Paulo (1997), Habilitation (Livre-Docente) from the University of São Paulo (2007), Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Coimbra, Portugal (2003), and Visiting Researcher at the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom (2017-2018). He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FCF/USP), Coordinator of the Laboratory for Development and Innovation in Pharmaceutics (DEINFAR), and President of FIPFARMA. He served as Director of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (2020-2024). He has experience in the field of Pharmacy, with an emphasis on Pharmaceutics, working mainly on the following topics: tablets, dissolution, preformulation, formulation, solid dosage forms, and dissolution profile.
