Elza Olga Ana Muscelli Berardi

Bachelor's at Medicine School from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1977), master's at Clinical Medicine from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1990) and doctorate at Clinical Medicine from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1992). Post doctoral degree at Pisa University in the metabolism area (1993-1995). Professor of internal medicine at the University of Campinas, Faculty of Medicine, Internal Medicine Department from 1986 to 2005. Collaborator researcher at the Dipartimento di Medicina Generale 3, at Pisa University, under the direction of Prof. Ferrannini E from 2003 till 2013. Ad-hoc consultant for Boehringer Ingelheim International from 2013 to 2014. Experience in Internal Medicine, acting on the following research areas: obesity, insulin resistance, Beta-cell function and diabetes. Currently is a Collaborator Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine, UNICAMP, working in the same research fields. Observation - participation at the european multi multicentric project "Relationship between Insulin Sensitivity and Cardiovascular Disease Risk (RISC)" from 2003 to 2010, as a responsible person for all experiments at the PISA center. Furthermore, I participated at the discussion and elaboration of some papers from this group, that are not included in my curriculum Lattes, since this system does not accept the above search term.
