Professor Paulo Eduardo Neves Ferreira Velho is a M.D. from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas/UNICAMP/Brazil (1990). He specialized in Infectious Diseases (1993) and in Dermatology (1995) also at UNICAMP. He was an Assistant Doctor at the University Hospital (1995 to 2002). In 2001 he earned his PhD in Medicine (UNICAMP) at the same Institution and became Assistant Professor at UNICAMP from 2002 to 2014, then Associate Professor from 2014 to present. In August 2023, he became a Full Professor at UNICAMP.Currently he teaches Dermatology to undergraduate students at the Department of Medicine (FCM-UNICAMP) with emphasis in Sexually Transmitted Infections and other infectious skin diseases as leprosy and deep mycosis to students and residents.Between 2014 and 2018, he was the Coordinator for the Undergraduate Medicine Program at Medical School-UNICAMP. He became a member of the University Council / CONSU in 2014 (2014 2016) and again in 2023.He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Cutaneous Image Center, Department of Dermatology, University of Minnesota Medical School from 2011 to 2012.UNICAMP awarded Prof. Paulo Velho with three awards: Dedication to Undergraduate Teaching, Extension, and UNICAMP Inventor.He has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Infectious Diseases and Dermatology, and is an expert in the following topics: skin, teaching, dermatology, sexually transmitted diseases, and human bartonellosis (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
