Finished high school in the United States, has degree in medicine from the University of São Paulo Medical School, USP, Sao Paulo (1998).Medical Residency in Neurosurgery at the Hospital das Clinicas, FMUSP (1999-2003) and speciality in the Division of Functional Neurosurgery Functional Neurosurgery at the Hospital das Clínicas da FMUSP (2004-2006). Doctor concluded by the Department of Neurology, FMUSP (September 2007) in exerimental research. Actually is serving in the Division of Functional Neurosurgery at the Institute of Psychiatry and develops lines of research in experimental and clinical pain and movement disorders with an emphasis on techniques of neurostimulation, transcranial magnetic stimulation, neuronavegation, stereotaxy, and minimally invasive surgery guided by Imaging.
