Rafael Duarte Coelho dos Santos

Got his undergraduate degree in Data Processing from the Federal University of Pará State in 1990. Got his masters and PhD in Computer Science (Applied Artificial Intelligence) from the Kyushu Institute of Technology (Japan) in 1995 and 1998, respectively. Presently is a senior technologist at INPE, the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research. His main areas of interest are applied artificial intelligence, data science, and image processing. Currently is the head of the Coordination of Education, Research and Outreach of INPE, and coordinator of INPE's graduate program in Applied Computing. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
