He holds a degree in Physics from the State University of Maringá (1995), a Master's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1998) and a PhD in Physics also from the University of São Paulo (2002). He was an associate professor at the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro, with a scholarship from FAPERJ in the "Young Scientist of Our State" category, and served as coordinator of the Graduate Program in Natural Sciences. He currently occupies the position of Full Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia and is a CNPq scholarship holder at level 2. He has extensive experience in the field of Physics, with an emphasis on Specific Instrumentation of General Use in Physics, and his main areas of expertise include technical thermal lens, z-scan technique, thermo-optical properties and non-linear effects. Furthermore, it coordinates the Group of Optical and Thermal Properties of Materials - GPOTN (http://www.ppfis.infis.ufu.br/grupos-de-pesquisa/grupo-de-propriedades-opticas-e-termicas-de- materials-gpotm) and was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Physics from 2018 to 2020.
