Marcos Antonio Ruggieri Franco

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1999), Master in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1991), BS in physics at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1983) and Retired Researcher of the Institute of Advanced Studies (IEAv) and Professor at the Institute of Technology of Aeronautics (ITA).From Nov/2020 to Apr/2022 coordinated the team responsible for technology transfer on Prediction of Radar Cross Section (RCS) and optimized design of aeronautical structures, within the scope of the OFFSET F-X2 program (fighter aircraft GRIPEN NG) with the company SAAB AB in the city of Linköping-Sweden. From 2018-2020 was an Associated Editor of Journal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications (JMOe). Coordinator of the Computational Electromagnetic Laboratory (LEC) at IEAv. The main research areas are: Applied electromagnetic, Computational modeling of Electromagnetic devices, optical fibres, fiber optic sensors, integrated optics, photonic crystal fibers, microstructured optical fibres, wave propagation, microwave, terahertz, finite element method and Radar Cross Section (RCS) Prediction.
