Márcio Sousa Góes (Lic. Chemistry, MSc. Technology of Materials 2006, PhD. Chemistry 2010, at UNESP) is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the ILACVN/CICN of the Federal University of Latin American Integration - UNILA, in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. He is involved in the development and performance evaluation of different electrode nanostructures applied to the generation and storage of clean energy and electrochemical (bio)sensor devices. The main contribution of Sousa Góes is the application of measuring traditional electrochemical techniques in different areas of energy and (bio)sensor devices, providing insight into processes of electronic charge transfer, carrier transport, chemical reaction, etc., and other techniques, especially in the field of X-ray diffraction and Rietveld method.
