Grace Kelli Pereira

Doctor in Chemistry, consultant, editor, and writer. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo - College of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Ribeirão Preto (1996), a Master's and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos - Natural Products Laboratory (2000 and 2004, respectively), and a post-graduate degree (lato sensu) in science journalism from UNICAMP - Laboratory of Advanced Journalism Studies (2010). She worked for 10 years in analytical instrumentation companies, providing consultancy in method development and analyst training (chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques). She has experience in Natural Products; Medicinal Plants; Environmental and Forensic Chemistry; Food; Pharmaceuticals (Equivalence); Proteome; Microbiology (Endophytic bacteria and fungi); Techniques for extraction, isolation, and purification of organic compounds; Structural determination techniques; Plant Biotechnology (micropropagation), Molecular Biology (Cloning, PCR, DNA isolation and purification, immunofluorescence); Biological tests on human cells; Validation of methodologies according to Brazilian legislation standards. In 2008, she co-authored the fiction book "Mister Uni and the Incredible Microscopic World" with psychologist Nila Mara Pereira, aimed at children with the goal of demystifying chemistry, disseminating basic concepts, and arousing the child's interest in this science. In 2013, she founded the courses and analytical consultancy company InSolution, where she continues to dedicate her work.
