Orlando M. Ferreira Neto holds a bachelor's degree in History from the University of São Paulo (1997), a master's degree in Social History of Labor from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp) under the guidance of prof. dr. Edgar Salvatori de Decca (2002); PhD in Social History from the Universidade de São Paulo (Usp) under the guidance of prof. dr. Jorge Grespan (2018). He taught at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2002-2003) and at the Escola Superior de Administração, Marketing e Comunicação de Uberlândia (Esamc) (2001-2003). In his master's degree he studied the social and political criticism in the literature of William Godwin in Great Britain in the 1790s. In his doctorate he studied the historical thought of J. G. Herder and its relationship with the formation of German nationality in the last quarter of the 18th century. Presently he participates in the research group "Enlightenment in the backlight" at the Philosophy Department of the Universidade de São Paulo (Usp). He also conducts a post-doctoral research at the same institution, regarding the historical sensibility in the Italian writings of Philipp Moritz and J. W. Goethe (1786-1787), under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Márcio Suzuki. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
