He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the State University of Londrina (1988), a Master's degree in Physics from the State University of Campinas (1992), a PhD in Physics from the State University of Campinas (1997), and a Post-Doctorate from the University of Utah (1997-1999), and from the European Organization for Nuclear Research - CERN (2013 - 2014, 2019 - 2020). He is currently an adjunct professor at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Cosmic Ray Physics and High Energy Physics, having participated in the EASTOP experiment - in Italy (1993-1997) and the international collaborations Pierre Auger Observatory - Argentina (1998-2004), Dzero/Fermilab - USA (2005-2008). He currently participates in the CMS/CERN collaboration in Switzerland (since 2009), working on the following topics: electronic instrumentation, particle detectors, and physics of the frontal region of hadronic collisions.
