She holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Bahia (1999) and earned her master's and doctorate in Civil Engineering with a focus on Hydraulics and Sanitation from the University of São Paulo (2000/2006), by supervision of Professor Swami Marcondes Villela. From 2018 to 2019, she conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Civil Engineering - University of Leeds (England). She worked as an adjunct professor at UNICENTRO-PR, where she also served as the vice head of the Department of Environmental Engineering. Currently, she is an associate professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), based in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, where she served as the vice coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Civil and Environmental Engineering. She has expertise in the field of Water Resources Management, primarily focusing on the study of integrated reservoir operation and rainwater harvesting.
