Fernando de Camargo Passos

Full Professor and Curator of the Scientific Collection of Mastozoology of the Department of Zoology/UFPR, coordinator of the Laboratory of Biodiversity, Conservation and Ecology of Wild Animals-LABCEAS/UFPR. It features 161 publications, of which 136 scientific articles in journals, four books and 25 book chapters (March / 2023). He is a Biologist from the Federal University of São Carlos (1987), has a Master's Degree in Ecology from UNICAMP (1992), a PhD in Ecology and Natural Resources from UFSCAR (1997) and a Post-doctorate from UNICAMP / FAPESP (1998). He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Primatology, being president of SBPr, in the 2009-2011 term. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Zoology / SBZ and served on the board, in the terms of 2000-2002, 2002-2004, 2004-2006, 2006-2008, 2008-2010 and 2010-2012. He is also a member of the Brazilian Society for the Study of Chiroptera / SBEQ and the Brazilian Society of Mastozoology / SBMz. He is leader of the research groups / CNPq, Biodiversity, Conservation and Ecology of Wild Animals and Mountain Research Group, both at UFPR. He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Paraná, accredited in the following Graduate Programs: PG Zoology and PG Ecology and Conservation at UFPR. He has experience in the area of Zoology and Ecology, with emphasis on Conservation of Animal Species and Biodiversity, Animal Behavior, Applied Zoology, Natural History, Ecology, Inventories and Monitoring of Fauna, working mainly on the following subjects: Mastozoology, Primatology, Mammalia, primates, bats, carnivores, biology, ecology and conservation. He has supervised several dissertations and theses, as well as specialization monographs, graduation conclusion monographs and Scientific Initiation scholarship holders. Projects coordinated in partnerships with companies were carried out with Petrobras, in the years 2001-2004 and 2010-2014, and with Renault do Brasil, in the years 2005-2006 and 2007-2008.
