Professor at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH) of the University of São Paulo (USP). She works in the Graduate Program in Social Change and Political Participation (PROMUSPP) and teaches undergraduate courses in Information Systems and Public Policy Management. She coordinates the Collaborative Research Group on Development and Participation at USP (Colab-USP). She holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2003); a Master's degree in Computer Science from the State University of Campinas (1998); and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (1995). She participated in several international conferences on Internet Governance (2005-2009). In 2005, she co-founded the Public Policy Group for Access to Information (GPoPAI) and, in 2014, Colab-USP, focusing on issues related to access to and sharing of public information and data. Her research has generated significant publications and contributed digital tools and social technologies that have impacted the transparency and accountability of public spending. Her projects such as Caring for my Neighborhood and Monitoring the City, which have received national and international recognition, promote collective action and participatory monitoring, as well as impacting the debate for systemic changes in the aforementioned areas. She has participated in the construction of the governance of the Open Government Partnership in Brazil since 2011, contributing to the elaboration of action plans for the Federal Government and the city of São Paulo. She was a member of the Steering Committee of the National Open Data Infrastructure (INDA) between 2012 and 2014, co-founded Open Knowledge Brasil in 2014, and is associated with the Latin American Initiative for Open Data (ILDA) and the International Network for Open Justice (RIJA). He continues to work on the topic of open government and in 2024 he participated in the founding of the Brazilian Open Government Network (RBGA). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
