Luciana Madeira da Silva

Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences at University of São Paulo (2000). Licentiateship in Biological Sciences at University of São Paulo (2001). PhD in Parasitology, University of São Paulo (2006). Has experience in Molecular Biology of Parasites. During her PhD, investigated cellular receptors in malaria parasites. Worked with the causative agent of leishmaniasis, developing molecular tools for the conditional expression of proteins in Leishmania and investigating genes involved in the virulence of the parasites in mouse model.
