During his Ph.d. he won a scholarship (from CNPq) to do researches at Padova (Italy). He has been awarded another scholarship (from CAPES) during the year 2005/2006 to follow his researches at the CNRS (UPR 76 - France).He researchs in Philosophy, focusing on History of the Philosophy, acting particularly on the following subjects: Ancient Philosophy (Aristotle, Plotinus and Stoicism), German Idealism (Schelling) and Modern and Contemporary Philosophy (Simone Weil) with special interest in the reception and/or appropriation of the Ancient Philosophy by these modern and contemporary philosophers.
