Bachelor's (1996) and Master's (1999) degrees in Physical Education, and a PhD in Human Physiology (2003) from the University of São Paulo,.Postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Genetics and Molecular Cardiology, lead by Prof. Dr. José Eduardo Krieger, Heart Institute (InCor) of HC-FMUSP. In 2009, I decided to move abroad to continue my training as a researcher: Maastricht University (Maastricht, Netherlands - 2009-2011 Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) (Trondheim, Norway - 2011-2018), University of Oslo/Oslo University Hospital (UiO/OUH) (Oslo, Norway 2018 present). I also had the opportunity to be a visiting researcher in different laboratories across Europe and the USA: Prof. Stefan H. Engelhardt (Technische Universität München, Germany, May 2010); Prof. Rudolf de Boer (University of Groningen, Netherlands, October 2011); Prof. Pieter A. Doevendans (University of Utrecht, Netherlands, April 2012); Prof. Rolf Bodmer (Sanford-Burnham-Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, USA, April 2016); and Prof. Eva van Rooij (Hubrecht Institute, Netherlands, November 2019). With over 15 years of experience in translational research in heart failure, covering preclinical and clinical investigations in the fields of cellular and molecular cardiology. I currently hold a researcher position in the Heart Physiology group at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences (Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo). I have participated in several international collaborative studies: European Commissions 7th Framework Programme (OptimEx), Fondation Leducq Transatlantic Network of Excellence, K.G. Jebsen Centres for Medical Research (Exercise in Medicine [NTNU] and Cardiac Research [UiO]), and UiO: Life Science Convergence Environment (3DR). Additionally, I am part of the pan-European interdisciplinary research networks (EU-COST Actions) CardioRNA (management committee) and AtheroNET (member). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
