Michel Eduardo Beleza Yamagishi was born in Manaus (AM). He has a degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where he also studied for a Master's and Doctorate. He is currently a research scientist at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA). He has published 39 articles in indexed journals, more than 97 works in event annals and is the author of the book Mathematical Grammar of Biology. He participated in several events abroad and in Brazil. He works in the area of Applied Mathematics and Bioinformatics. He is an employee-elected member of EMBRAPA's Board of Directors (CONSAD). He was a member of the Management Board of the Mixed Research Unit UMIP-GENCLIMA (EMBRAPA-UNICAMP), and the first Coordinator of the Multi-User Bioinformatics Laboratory at EMBRAPA.
