She holds a bachelor's degree in Meteorology from the Federal University of Pelotas (2003), a master's degree in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research INPE (2006), and a Ph.D. in Meteorology from INPE (2014). She was a visiting researcher at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (2010) and at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF, 2024). From 2010 to 2014, she worked as a meteorologist in the Climate Forecast Group at the Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Studies (CPTEC/INPE), which she coordinated from 2013 to 2014. She was a professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering of the Institute of Science and Technology at São Paulo State University (UNESP), where she taught courses in Environmental Pollution, Climatology, and Statistics. She is currently a researcher at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), working in the field of numerical weather and climate modeling, with emphasis on model evaluation. She is co-chair of the Working Group on Numerical Experimentation (WGNE) of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and a member of the Scientific Advisory Group on Applications of the Global Atmosphere Watch Programme (GAW/WMO).
