She has a degree in Chemistry from Universidade Mackenzie (1993), a master's degree in Organic Chemistry (Natural Products) from the University of São Paulo (1996), a doctorate in Organic Chemistry (Natural Products) from the University of São Paulo (2000), post-doctorate in Organic Chemistry (Natural Products) from the University of São Paulo - São Carlos (2000-2001) and post-doctorate in Pharmacognosy from the Université de Lille-2, Droit et Santé, France (2009-2010). She is currently a Senior Technologist at the National Institute for Amazonian Research and permanent professor/advisor of the Postgraduate Programs in Biotechnology-UFAM/INPA, Biotechnology-UEA/INPA and Botany-INPA. She has been a level 2 productivity fellow since 2014. She is editor of the magazines Fitos and Vittalle and was editor of the special issue "Natural Products as less toxic Antitumor / Antiangiogenic Agents compared to Synthetic Conventional Chemotherapy" of Frontiers in Pharmacology. She is editor of the Special Issue "Endophytic Fungus as Producers of New and/or Bioactive Substances" of the Journal Microorganisms. She is a reviewer for several journals. She has experience in the areas of Chemistry of Natural Product, Plant and Fungal Biotechnology, working mainly on the following topics: bioprospecting of plants and their endophytic fungi, plant biotechnology (obtaining callus/plant cell culture and cell suspensions), chromatographic fractionation and evaluation in bioassays (antimicrobial activity, cytotoxic activity, antiangiogenic activity and antioxidant activity), identification/structural elucidation of molecules by NMR and analysis of mixtures by NMR. She is a member of the Interdisciplinary Committee for the Evaluation of Academic and Professional Postgraduate Programs of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES. She has several national and international collaborations, including with Prof. Dr. Olorunfemi Abraham Eseyin, University of Uyo, Nigeria and with Prof. Dr. Jean Noel Nyemb, University of Ngaoundere, Cameroon to carry out biological assays, purifications of substances and the structural identification of the substances isolated by them.
