Marcio Pacheco de Carvalho

Guitarist. Bachelor in Mathmatics from São Paulo University (1998), Bachelor in Music - Guitar from São Paulo "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" State University (2002) and Master in Music from São Paulo "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" State University (2005). At present time, Music Professor at Amazonas State University, also as a member of the research project Musicologia e História Cultural [Musicology and Cultural History]. Has experience in Arts, focusing on Music, acting on the following subjects: music, guitar, organology, timbre and musical analysis. Undergraduate Research Project: "Os Números p-ádicos" ["The p-adic Numbers"]. Masters Dissertation: "The Modular Music Notation in the Guitar Repertoire: an interpretation proposal on the work 'Tarantos', by Leo Brouwer". Doctoral researcher in Letters and Arts at Amazonas University State since 2024 April, in the research line "Theory, Criticism, and Criative Processes", under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Luciano Hercílio Alves Souto.
