A biologist graduated from the IB-USP, he has been working in forest restoration since 2001. In the ecology and forest restoration laboratory (LERF-ESALQ) until 2003 involved with projects in sugar cane mills, orange and eucalyptus farms. Then in the company Casa da Floresta in Piracicaba with eucalyptus farms until 2005 and, from 2006, in MT, by Instituto Socioambiental in the Y Ikatu Xingu Campaign. It contributed to the formation of the Xingu Seed Network and to the development of direct sowing, called Muvuca (seed mixes rich in species), which has already been used in the ecological restoration of 8000 hectares in Brazil. Since 2017, it has supported the development of seed networks in Brazil, through the Redário initiative, and with monitoring and training in direct sowing with the Caminhos da Semente Initiative. Has experience in Ecology, with emphasis on Forest Restoration, Direct Seeding and Seed Technology. He is a member of the CTSF - Technical Committee for Forest Seeds in Brazil and at-large director of the INSR - International Network for Seed Based Restoration, associated with SER - Society for Ecological Restoration.
