Nelson Canzian da Silva

Graduated (1987), master (1990) and doctor (1994) in Physics from the University of São Paulo, with the research work for his doctorate carried out at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (USA), between 1990 and 1993. Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina since 1997. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Physics, with emphasis on Experimental Methods and Instrumentation for Elementary Particles and Nuclear Physics. Between 2002 and 2013, he coordinated the Baú de Ciências, an extension project of the Physics Department of UFSC, which aimed to promote the experimental teaching of physics in elementary and high school. He was deputy coordinator of the project to implement the Parque Viva a Ciência in Florianópolis, between 2006 and 2012. He was a member of the Ethics Committee for Research with Human Beings at UFSC between 2008 and 2023. He is part of the National Professional Master's Program in Physics Teaching (UFSC Pole) of the SBF. He develops educational applications and strategies for use in physics teaching. He is an amateur student of subjects related to Medical Physics and accompanies students in internships related to Medical Physics in companies, hospitals and clinics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
