Pessoa Física (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
Bachelor's at Universidade de São Paulo (1990), master's at Physic from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1992) and doctorate at from University Paris XI (1996). He is currently associate professor III at Instituto de Física da Universidade Federal de Goiás. He has experience in Theoretical Physics, experience or acting on the following subjects: effective models for QCD, giant resonances and collective modes in nuclear physics/matter, symmetry energy of nuclear matter and Skyrme interactions, aspects of graphene physics, variational approach for quantum field theories, corrections to the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model in the vacuum or under magnetic fields, classical Yang-Mills equations with attention to quantum effects, derivation of hadron couplings and form factors and effective models for low energy QCD (in the vacuum and at finite energy densities, for example under magnetic fields). Effective three meson interactions. that break UA(1) symmetry, are used to investigate (strong) meson decays of light mesons. Effects of form factors (derived analytically) for nucleon and nuclear potentials, mainly based in one meson exchange, are investigated in the vacuum and under finite energy density, such as in external magnetic fields.
