Sergio Vechi is a computational chemist, data scientist, physical chemistry professor, and Empreteco. He has experience in international collaborations in Germany and Sweden, as well as participating in multidisciplinary projects in the development of antivirals against dengue and in a greentech startup. He works on development projects applied to data analysis and artificial intelligence to support decision-making in health and is a participant in the local innovation ecosystem in partnerships with Sebrae. He is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Alagoas, with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UNICAMP, a master's degree, and a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from USP, and a postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Heidelberg (Germany). He received training in Data Science in Berlin (Germany), where he developed a recommendation system based on content and image similarity (Web App). He also worked as a data scientist in a greentech startup in Gothenburg (Sweden), developing algorithms for fault detection in time series and actively participating in software development in an agile environment. Throughout his career, he has gained experience in various areas, including molecular modeling, artificial intelligence, implementation of numerical algorithms in Fortran and Python, Monte Carlo simulations and molecular dynamics, Linux systems administration, and design thinking. He has developed a broad perspective on data quality challenges, working with data in areas such as chemistry, rational drug design, health, and energy. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
