Graduate in Theology from the Centro de Ensino Teológico Monte Moriá (1998), graduation in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA, 1999), specialization in Environmental Education from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2003), specialization in Food Technology from UFMA (2005), master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from UFMA (2002) and doctorate in Sciences of Environmental Engineering from USP (2004). He is currently a professor at the Academic Department of Chemistry (DAQ) at the Federal Institute of Maranhão (IFMA), assigned to the Institute of Oceanography at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG). He has experience in Analytical Chemistry, with emphasis on Trace Analysis and Environmental Chemistry, working mainly on the following topics: pesticides, emerging organic pollutants, chromatography and soil and water contamination.
