Leila Hayashi

I am graduate as bacharel in Biological Science from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1998), I have my master's degree in Sciences (field Botany) from Universidade de São Paulo (2001) and phD's in Sciences (field Botany) from Universidade de São Paulo (2007). I was Professor at Aquaculture Department of Federal University of Santa Catarina for 12 years, between 2010 and 2022. In 2023, I became a research scientist at Acadian Seaplants Ltd, located in Canada. I was member of the Executive Commitee of International Society for Applied Phycology (ISAP) between 2017 to 2024, and currently, I am vice-president of the International Seaweed Association (ISA).
