Worked as a visiting researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa Meio-Norte) in Molecular Genetics from 2006 to 2009, as well as at Dalhousie University (Canada). Currently, Associate Professor (Level IV) at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), member of the Department of Biology (Center for Natural Science) and the Graduate Program in Tropical Animal Science (Center for Agricultural Sciences). Experienced in Classical Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Population Genetics. Research focuses on the development and use of molecular markers for studies on molecular characterization, genetic variability, and population dynamics of environmentally and economically important organisms.
