Maria Beatriz Nogueira Ribeiro

Holds a bachelor's and teaching degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2001), a master's degree in Ecology from the University of São Paulo (2005), and a doctorate in Ecology from the National Institute for Amazonian Research (2011). Has experience in the fields of Ecology, Ethnoecology, and Conservation, focusing on the following topics: Tropical forests, Amazon, Xingu, Protected Areas, Indigenous populations, impacts of anthropogenic activities, Bertholletia excelsa. Worked as a consultant for the organizations Imaflora, ICMBio, Grupo Natureza, Sociedade e Conservação, and Instituto Socioambiental (ISA) between 2011 and 2019.
