André Luís Teixeira Fernandes is an agronomist, graduated from ESALQ / USP, graduated in 1993, graduated in 1996 from the same institution, Irrigation and Drainage concentration, and completed his PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 2001 He is currently the Rector of Research, Graduate and Extension at Uberaba University (UNIUBE).He is a permanent professor of the Professional Master's programs in Chemical Engineering (UNIUBE) and Plant Production (IFTM). He has published several articles in specialized journals and more than 300 papers in annals of events. It has several books and chapters of published books and several books organized. He has participated in several events abroad and in Brazil. He is a member of the organizing committee of Fenicafé, an event held in Araguari - MG, in the first semester of each year and the Brazilian Congress of Coffee Research, a traveling event held in the second half of each year. She participates in several research and extension events throughout Brazil, giving lectures, training and presenting research papers. Currently, he participates in several projects of research, extension and technological innovation. He works in the area of #8203;#8203;Agricultural and Agronomic Engineering, with emphasis on Irrigation and Drainage. In his professional activities, he interacted with more than 300 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific works. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Association of Irrigation and Drainage (ABID), member of the State Council of Water Resources, member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Advanced Studies in Veterinary Medicine José Caetano, member of the Curator Council of the National Foundation for Private Higher Education - FUNADESP, member of the University Council of Uberaba University (UNIUBE) and Associated Faculties of Uberaba (FAZU).
